- The RMS-1500 controls
pressurization of the blast machine.
- When the control handle
lever is pressed, a rubber
button seals the opening, forcing air from the outbound
side of twinline to return through the inbound side.
Pressure in the return line opens the inlet valve and
closes the outlet valve. This action pressurizes the blast
machine and begins the blasting process. Releasing the
handle exhausts the control air,
closing the inlet valve,
and opening the outlet valve to depressurize the blast
machine and stop the blasting.
- If the constructive arrangement
allows no combined inlet/ outlet valve (e.g. RMS 2000) inlet
(RMS-1500) and outlet (RMS-500) valves can be used separately.
- The inlet valve can be
equipped optionally with an eletrico-pneumatic switch box.
Electric remote controls (electro-pneumatic) are recommended
when the nozzle and remote control handle are farther than 100
feet from the blast machine.
Pressure loss through pneumatic systems over longer
distances delays actuation time, and could prevent fast,
