With AREXAL® Zusatzkomponente (B-component/Additional component) you get an additional component product to process the rigid crystalline slurry into a flexible slurry. This gives you a waterproofing slurry that can also bridge cracks due to its ability to bend and expand, has high adhesive strength and cures without shrinkage or cracks. The Additional component cannot be used alone!
An elastic sealing slurry for waterproofing buildings
Since this is a solvent-free, liquid B-component, the necessary mineral AREXAL® crystalline sealing slurry must be ordered separately. The elastic slurry and the crystalline sealing slurry must be mixed and stirred well in a ratio of 3:8. This mixture is then waterproof up to 1.5 bar and can be used well on brick walls and concrete. It is particularly useful to apply the elastic slurry around pipes and conduits that open into the ground, which are usually not completely immovable. Thanks to its flexible structure, it reliably seals such critical areas. For the surface, the normal crystalline sealing slurry will then suffice.
Use AREXAL® Additional component to waterproof flat roofs
In addition to floors, basements and walls, flat roofs can also be waterproofed very well with the elastic sealing slurry. Since the B-component makes the slurry so elastic that it can stretch up to 100%, it can also be applied directly to existing roofing felt, for example. The tedious and often futile search for the leaking spot can thus be significantly shortened. A complete and expensive roof renovation can be avoided if the conditions are favourable!
The flexible sealing slurry can optionally also be applied as a protective layer on top of the crystalline sealing slurry to prevent cracking in the event of heavy use (e.g. if the surfaces are to be walked on later).
By the way, the flexible slurry is suitable as a WHG §19 coating against transformer and light heating oil.
