Under article number 132453 we supply the servo-assisted Burkert diaphragm valve Type 0290 (2/2-way, normally closed (NC)) with brass body, internal thread G1/2 and NBR seal in orifice DN 12.
How the Burkert valve Type 0290 DN 12 switches
When de-energised, the flow path from port 1 (P) to port 2 (A) is closed; the valve only opens when the coil is energised. The diaphragm is firmly coupled to the plunger, so the valve also opens without differential pressure; the pressure range of this version is 0 to 16 bar. The integrated 'soft-kick' function ensures gentle opening. The Kv value for water is 1.8 m³/h. According to Burkert, this version opens in 100–250 ms and closes in 700–2000 ms.
Electrical connection and coil
The solenoid coil for 230 V AC 50 Hz is moulded in chemically highly resistant epoxy and block-screwed, which makes it vibration-proof. The AC coil draws 100 VA at switch-on and 25 VA in holding mode; the rated power is 10 W. It is connected via plug contacts to DIN EN 175301-803 form A; with a cable plug, the valve achieves IP65. The cable plug Type 2518 is included.
