Under article number 227556 we supply the servo-assisted Burkert diaphragm valve Type 6213 (2/2-way, normally closed (NC)) with stainless steel body, internal thread G2 and EPDM seal in orifice DN 40.
How the Burkert valve Type 6213 DN 40 switches
When de-energised, the flow path from port 1 (P) to port 2 (A) is closed; the valve only opens when the coil is energised. In Type 6213, the diaphragm is coupled to the plunger by a spring; this spring coupling assists opening, so the valve already switches from 0 bar. According to the data sheet, a differential pressure of 0.5 bar is needed for the full cross-section; the pressure range extends to 6 bar. The valve closes with damping and operates quietly. For gas and vacuum applications, the DC version requires at least 0.5 bar according to the data sheet; the HP00 version opens without differential pressure. The Kv value for water is 30 m³/h. According to Burkert, this version opens in 300–400 ms and closes in 900–1500 ms.
Electrical connection and coil
The plug-on epoxy coil for 24 V DC (size 65 mm, insulation class H) sits on the centrally screwed pilot stage. The rated power of the coil is 28 W. It is connected via plug contacts to DIN EN 175301-803 form A; with a cable plug, the valve achieves IP65. The cable plug Type 2518 is not included and available separately.

What valve 227556 is suited for
According to the data sheet, the standard version is intended for liquids; it switches media that do not attack the body and seal materials (viscosity max. 21 mm²/s). It can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator facing up. As a dealer listed by Burkert, we source the valve directly from the manufacturer.
