The Burkert solenoid valve Type 6213 with article number 323686 is a servo-assisted diaphragm valve, 2/2-way, normally closed (NC). This version has a brass body with internal thread G1 1/2, orifice DN 40 and NBR seals.
How the diaphragm valve Type 6213 works
When de-energised, the flow path from port 1 (P) to port 2 (A) is closed; the valve only opens when the coil is energised. In Type 6213, the diaphragm is coupled to the plunger by a spring; this spring coupling assists opening, so the valve already switches from 0 bar. According to the data sheet, a differential pressure of 0.5 bar is needed for the full cross-section; the pressure range extends to 10 bar. The valve closes with damping and operates quietly. The Kv value for water is 30 m³/h. According to Burkert, this version opens in 300–400 ms and closes in 900–1500 ms.
Coil and electrical connection of Type 6213
The plug-on epoxy coil for 24 V UC (AC/DC) (size 42 mm, insulation class H) sits on the centrally screwed pilot stage. The integrated kick-and-drop electronics with dual-coil technology reduce the power after pull-in (85 W) to 8.5 W in continuous operation; according to the data sheet, up to 6 switching cycles per minute are possible. It is connected via plug contacts to DIN EN 175301-803 form A; with a cable plug, the valve achieves IP65. The cable plug Type 2518 is not included and available separately.

Applications of Burkert Type 6213
According to the data sheet, the standard version is intended for liquids; it switches media that do not attack the body and seal materials (viscosity max. 21 mm²/s). It can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator facing up. As a dealer listed by Burkert, we source the valve directly from the manufacturer.
