Article VS 38 by Ludecke is a sealing screw to DIN 906 with tapered male thread. Connection is made via R 3/8 m. It is tightened by the hexagon socket to DIN 906. The spanner size is SW 8. The overall length is 10 mm. The material used is Brass MS 58 nickel-plated. The inch-thread versions are nickel-plated so they can be told apart from the metric ones at a glance.

What VS 38 is built for

The fittings and components in brass MS 58 are intended for temperature control applications with hot or cold water and thermal oil. They form the modular range around the Ludecke temperature control couplings: hose connection, thread transitions and closures in one system. Closures of this kind seal unused connections on the mould or the distributor so the circuit stays tight even when only partly used. The maximum operating pressure is PN 15 bar, the temperature range is -20 to +200 °C. The threads conform to ISO 228 and DIN 13.
